Cheryl Metcalf

About 15 years ago I began sculpting. How I say that sculpture has become my life! Over the last eight years, classes in advanced anatomy, mold making another art skills have focused and expanded my abilities. All types of subjects appeal to me. To honor his many accomplishments on behalf of the Coeur d’Alene tribe, I sculpted a larger than life status of Chief Morris Antelope for the city of Coeur d’Alene. Other large sculptures and many small soar in the creations of a broad body of work, including figures of humans, animals, angels and many other creatures from my own dreams. Currently I help to instruct others in the basics of sculpture. It’s wonderful to witness the student’s get excited as they see their sculptures come to life. Truly sculpting is my passion.
